I find Maternity and Newborn sessions so beautiful and a real privilege to document. From your incredible, ever changing body through to birth and welcoming your newest family member. Being a Mother myself, I understand how precious this time is and how important it is to document the journey.
Maternity shoots are typically held between 32 and 36 weeks and can be booked whenever you feel ready (I advise no later than 30 weeks to avoid disappointment).
For Newborn shoots, due to my relaxed lifestyle approach (no classic posing), I advise under 6 weeks is best but sessions can really be whenever you feel ready. I like to focus on your connections, the love, all of the little details and you as a new family.
What to expect
With Newborn sessions, I usually suggest to plan a date in 2-3 weeks after due date which we can keep flexible should you need to bring forward or push back.
I will ensure that any photoshoot is tailored to you. Each family and Mother-to-be has their own unique story to tell, and i’m there to document it for you.
A Pre-shoot questionnaire or consultation call is included so that we can get to know each other, discuss ideas and decide upon the elements which will make your shoot unique to you.
You will also receive a common questions pack covering what to wear through to preparing for you shoot.

With each package, you will receive a gallery of preview images within 2 days, and your full gallery of images within 2-3 weeks of our shoot via a beautiful online platform.
Additional images and prints can be arranged at any point following your shoot.

Maternity Package One
Digitals and Prints
from £349
Held on a date of your choosing, this package includes a relaxed 60-90 minute photoshoot, 5 high resolution digital images of your choice and 5 Professional Prints (further options available).
Whether you choose to have your photoshoot in-home or outdoors, by yourself, with your partner or children, the focus shall be on you and your growing bump.

Newborn Package One

Held on a date of your choosing, this package includes a relaxed 1-2 Hour photoshoot, 5 high resolution digital images of your choice and 5 Professional Prints (further options available).
My Newborn shoots are held in the comfort of your own home. I find that people are more relaxed in their own surroundings and you can feed and change Baby as required. I will capture baby’s details and you as a new family around the home, I try to keep these as relaxed and un-posed as possible and if older siblings are involved, I would let them take the lead for the first part to relax them in. I just recommend that the house is warm so we can undress Baby a little to get some blanket shots.
We can of course head outside if you would prefer though. Perhaps a local spot that you like to walk through, or I can suggest a few places too.

Motherhood Sessions

Intimate and emotive sessions.
Whether it is to document the rawness of your newborn bubble, your feeding journey, your bond or a milestone, these sessions are completely tailored to you and the relationship between you and your baby/child/children.

Film
Filming is a real passion of mine, particular for families and Newborns. I find this medium just captures emotions, connections and moments like no other. With all types of films, I take an unobtrusive approach and capture the magic as it unfolds with a little gentle guidance along the way.
For Full Film sessions, we would have a consultation call to tailor and plan your Newborn film. The session itself would be 1-2 hours and would produce a beautiful 3 minute film with complimentary music. I will hand edit and share your final MP4 film within 2-3 weeks of our session. Full Films are priced at £395.
Audio can also be included, ask for more details on this.
I can also capture and create complimentary films during your photography session. With these films, I prioritise the photography but take film clips in between to complete your story. I focus again on connections, emotion and fleeting moments in a documentary style, without being intrusive. The final MP4 film will be approximately 2 minutes long and will be with you within 2 weeks of your shoot. The additional cost is just £150.

Common Questions
We’re awkward in front of the camera, is this normal?
Honestly, every couple I photograph tells me the same and you know what, those awkward giggles are actually really lovely. I have a relaxed, documentary approach so you don’t need to worry, I will give you gentle guidance and suggestions along the way to keep the flow and your confidence up. Importantly I want to capture you as a couple, your love for each other and your unique personalities. Just be yourself and you can’t go far wrong!
Do you travel and are there additional travel costs?
Yes! As much as I love photographing locally, I also love to travel. There is a small charge for travelling but contact me with your plans and I can give you a more exact cost.
What should we wear for our shoot?
Whatever you feel most comfortable in, you want this session to reflect you as you really are. I usually suggest minimal pattern, nothing too bright in colour and no large logos or words though.
When will we get our images?
I take great pride and considerable time on each of your final images. You will receive all final digital images within 2 weeks of your shoot. This will be sent to you via email, allowing you to share with family and friends and download whenever ready.
How far in advance should I book my Maternity/Newborn Session?
Whenever you feel ready to but I always advise at least 2 months in advance to avoid disappointment. With Newborn sessions, I usually suggest to plan a date in 2-3 weeks after due date which we can keep flexible should you need to bring forward or push back. We can also pencil in a second back up date.
How do your payment plans work?
I can provide payment plans for any booking over £300. For families, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date. The remaining balance can be split over two dates with final balance due a month after your shoot.
Do you offer Albums?
In short, yes. We can meet up with my sample collection and go over exactly how many pages/images you’d like to include and in what format. Each album is tailored to each family.

We really wanted a newborn photo shoot for the imminent arrival of our first baby girl... so, were super excited when our friends gifted us clickedbykate as a present! My husband though was a little uneasy about having photos taken full stop, as he is always the first to avoid a picture but we both didn’t want to miss the chance to capture those special early days of newborn family life. We just wanted totally natural and unedited photos of us as a new family of 3 and decided to have them at home, our little girl just 18 days old. But, it was so lovely to share our home, and new life as a family with Kate... the photos really captured the newborn ‘bubble’ we were in and our gorgeous baby girl so little and new. We can’t wait to invite clickedbykate back to capture more special moments of our family, which we will definitely be doing! We are so thankful to have these memories to keep and look back on... a snapshot in time and in such a beautiful way.
